Children and Worship: 3 yr. to 6 yr.
Children and Worship has been a part of St. Paul's since 2009, but has been a ministry of The Presbyterian Church in Canada (and other denominations around the world) for over 25 yrs.
Children and Worship is a beautiful way to present Bible stories through worship. This program helps children experience and learn about God; and is based on the philosophy of Maria Montessori who has revolutionized the education of children.
In the children's worship centre, the will experience God through singing, a Bible story, prayer and responding to the story in a way that is meaningful to them as individuals
On Sundays, the children begin worship in the sancturary. After about 20 minutes they are invited to the front of the church for a time with the pastor, and then they are escorted to the lower hall by going through the door at the fron of the sanctuary.
After worship, from September to June, the children meet parents in the library (upper level) where refreshments are served. Younger children are escorted to the library and their leaders ensure they connect with their parents. In July and August the children meet their parents at the lemonade stand outside the office on the lower level.
Paul’s People- Grade 5-9
The grade 5-9 youth enjoy their time together in the lounge in the lower hall of the church. They study the great stories and personalities of the Bible and learn how God wants them to be and what God whats them to do. This fall they started using the Book of James to learn how to deal with problems that youth deal with on a daily basis.
Youth Groups
From time to time youth gather at the church for special events or go on outings. Youth Alpha was added to St. Paul's ministry ineary 2017.
Surprise!
Children are a special part of our church family and are frequently surprising us with songs as well as Christmas and Easter dramatic presentations.
Games nights, Vacation Bible School, shared meals and mission projects fill out our times together.
